LaunchLNK Grant

Applications are now open for the 2027 LaunchLNK cohort and applications are due October 16, 2026 at 11:59 CST.

Six recipients will be chosen from a competitive applicant pool.

We receive 50-100 applications per cycle.

The process for 2027 has changed slightly from past years. This year, we're piloting a risk assessment tool as part of our application, built by a local founder. Here’s what to expect:

Round 1 (due Oct 16): ~45 min; basic profile + first part of risk assessment, focused on your problem and customers. Results by Oct 23.

Round 2 (due Nov 20): ~2-3 hrs; remaining risk assessment covering product, business model, competition, and growth. Results by early December.

Round 3 (early December): 30-min virtual panel pitch/Q&A; six recipients announced by year-end.

The requirements for applicants are:

• Based in Lincoln (or able to have a presence in Lincoln during the year of grant participation)

• Ability to explain the problem your startup is trying to solve, who is experiencing it, and how significant it is

We prioritize companies where the LaunchLNK grant could contribute to economic impact. We want to deploy the dollars where it will spur revenue and job creation and attract additional capital investment in Lincoln.  

Startups stand out when they have a clear use of funds to advance their company or get to the next milestone.

We also look for founders that are actively contributing to the Lincoln business or innovation community.

Yes! We welcome companies who apply in multiple grant cycles.

You are eligible as long as you have not already been awarded a LaunchLNK grant.

LaunchLNK is integrating a risk assessment tool, built by a local founder, as part of the application. The process still has 3 rounds like previous years, including a final interview by a panel, but the application questions have been updated to dig deeper into all aspects of your startup.

The tool gives structured, objective feedback on your business, helping you see your startup's strengths and biggest opportunities, while also creating a more level playing field for judging.
